Choose Arcola

Further to a previous post, I chose to revisit the Arcola Appeal for my final radio item of the autumn term. Nine weeks on from the Ashwin Street open day at its future site, the Dalston theatre has just opened  its final production in the original building. The Cradle Will Rock is a provocative piece of Brechtian agitprop theatre that Artistic Director Mehmet Ergan feels ‘pays tribute to the factory workers who once occupied the building.’ Here’s a snapshot of where the theatre’s at- as it marks its ten year anniversary- and more importantly, where it’s headed:
